&.LAB



ABOUT

In their fourth year, students in the Graphic Design course are tasked with creating and running a design agency. This agency operates throughout the academic year, with students from the lower years applying to join and work within it.

Our agency was called &.Lab—a conceptual creative consultancy built around the ideas of play and experimentation. We treated &.Lab as a living organism, where every member was equally essential, like the limbs of a single body.

We developed the brand identity of &.Lab and launched a marketing campaign to position ourselves as a forward-thinking consultancy. Throughout the year, we worked on briefs from clients such as G.F. Smith and Time Machine + Folks (a creative agency based in Edinburgh), producing a body of work that placed play and creativity at its core.

We were given a brief by the folks at GF SMITH to create a ‘homage to paper’, our own paper shrine, we deciced to show how paper could be used in the new world where digital screens is largely taking over physical print. Our answer to this brief was to put paper at the center of this future, making a new home for it within the building blocks we build this future on.
